November 2022 COVID-19 Office Update

To our valued patients and colleagues,

The recent pandemic has presented many challenges for all of us. Everyone has been affected in one way or another.

Our patients have been exceptionally cooperative in following our safety protocols and very considerate in advising us of any potential exposures. This has allowed us to achieve and excellent safety record over the past two years.

As many of you are aware, the CDC and the state have removed the masking requirement in healthcare facilities. As a result, some have inquired about the removal of the masking requirement in our office.

At this point, we have no plans to change our mask policy. Although the critical part of the pandemic seems to have passed, there are still clusters of outbreaks that can be particularly dangerous to our medically compromised patients and team members. In addition, we’re seeing a surge in respiratory infections, and many ER physicians we know expect an especially bad flu season. We have a responsibility to protect everyone entering our office, especially the medically compromised ones.
